After many years of planning, our expansion to the Window Rock area was realized in December when we started to move dirt. Then the rains came, and we were put on hold for almost four months. In March we got back on track and work began in earnest. With the construction of the roof in early September we are looking forward to opening our clinic in November. We will have Dr. Randy Alkire, a board certified orthodontist, leading the orthodontic program. Dr. Alkire served in the Air Force and the Indian Health Service. He retired after serving for 20 years. He will be assisted by Dr. Ernie Stromeyer and occasionally by Dr. C. Michael Beck.

Nizhoni Smiles is currently interviewing dentists for the dental program. We will be able to provide a full range of dental services – including tooth whitening, tooth cleaning, root canals, and crowns and bridges to replace missing teeth and fillings.

We are looking to provide a stable staff of dentists and orthodontists that can identify with their patients for many years to come.
